Softball Registration Information

To Returning Summer Team Managers:
Plans are being made for the 2017 Slow Pitch Softball season. We will use the Seminary Park Upper Field as our home field. The Coed League will continue on Tuesdays and Men’s leagues will be organized on the remaining weeknights.
Below you will find a team registration form, which must be completed and returned to league chairperson, Tom Harrington at the address listed below. Alternately you can register your team and pay online at StoneAlley www.stonealley.com
Pay your costs by March 17, 2017 to reserve your spot and get a $30 discount.
If your team cannot participate this year, please advise Tom Harrington so arrangements can be made to secure teams to fill the league.
League costs are due at time of registration $465.00 before March 17 and $495.00 after March 17. Checks are to be made payable to: LTRC. Mail checks and registration form to:

No team will be admitted to the league until ALL costs are paid.
The league costs cover softballs, bases, field maintenance, ASA franchise costs, league equipment and awards.
Each league will be limited to 6 teams. After March 17, 2017 returning teams may change league nights and new teams will be entered into their league upon receipt of league costs on a first come, first served basis.
I will communicate primarily by email, so I need an email contact for your team. If you don’t have an email address, please try to pick an assistant on the team with an email address to facilitate communication. Please adjust your spam filters to allow for free communication.
Umpire costs are to be paid before each doubleheader $40.00 per team/per doubleheader for both Men’s 3-Pitch and Co-Ed doubleheaders.
League rules are available on request and will be distributed at the league meeting. Time limits will keep us at 6 innings, 3 pitch format games. League rules will be strictly enforced.
A league meeting will be held in mid-April, 2017 in room 123 at Ridgely Middle School. Important information, including league finances, forfeit policy, rules, and umpires, will be discussed at this meeting. It is mandatory that you have a representative at this meeting. The meeting will begin at 7:00pm for all programs.
Leagues are expected to begin is the week of Monday May 8 or 15, 2017. If you have any questions, call or email Tom Harrington.
I am open to providing additional notification regarding rainouts in addition to the rainout line based on suggestions from players / teams.
I would appreciate some additional help in coordinating the league as my day job may require that I receive some help during parts of the season.
The help falls in these areas:
- Correspondence reviewer
- League Coordinator
Corresponding Reviewer – I need some help to review league communications for correctness. The help needed is in the preparation of schedules, correction of league rules and other minor correspondence. Please let me know if you are interested.
League coordinator – I would appreciate some help in keeping track of standings and coordinating makeups and the tournament. Please let me know your interest. I would have the coordinator only handle the league their team plays in.
