We are pleased that LTRC will be sponsoring an after-school field hockey program for Ridgely Middle School’s 6th, 7th and 8th grade students. Depending upon participation and try-outs, the plan is to have one team.
MAIL-IN REGISTRATION ONLY:
*Registration form and check DUE by August 1, 2022. Cost: $175/student (payable to LTRC)
Mail the form to:
Beth Richard, 140 Westbury Road, Lutherville, MD 21093
TRYOUTS:
Expect tryouts to take 1-2 days. These will be held in early September depending on weather conditions, from 3:15 pm – 5:00 pm. The date, time, and information will be communicated to registrants via email (clearly print email on registration forms). Shin guards, mouth guard and an outdoor field hockey stick are needed for tryouts and the season. Players will not be permitted to try out if they do not have their equipment.
GAMES/PRACTICES:
Typically practices and games are held most Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:15-5:00 p.m. at Ridgely MS, Timonium ES or Seminary Park. Girls will jog from Ridgely MS to Timonium ES as a team when using that field. Parents are expected to provide transportation to Seminary Park for practices. A parent carpool schedule will be created for games. The team will play home and away games with several private and public schools in the area. Each parent is expected to carpool to a few games and practices.
NOTE: Students will not be permitted to try out if payment and registration is not received. Attach a check payable to LTRC to the registration forms. This will reserve a tryout spot and will only be deposited upon team selection. In the event your child does not make the team, your check will be shredded.
